Responsibilities
- Analyze and synthesize global megatrends, technological disruptions, and socio-economic shifts impacting 2026+ horizons
- Develop predictive models and scenario-planning frameworks for long-term strategic initiatives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Author thought leadership publications and deliver executive briefings on future-facing opportunities
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype solutions for emerging market needs and competitive threats
- Monitor horizon scanning ecosystems (AI, biotech, climate tech, etc.) for strategic inflection points
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, innovation, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Experience with strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, backcasting)
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or executed strategic foresight projects
