Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive trends and market shifts
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready innovations into core offerings
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish thought leadership through white papers, industry panels, and published research
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and design teams
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory impacts on future technology adoption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record in technology forecasting and trend analysis
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Social Sciences (PhD preferred)
- Proficiency in strategic frameworks (e.g., STEEP, Delphi Method, Scenario Planning)
- Published thought leadership in reputable industry journals or conferences
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
