Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments under provider supervision
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Assist with patient intake and triage during evening/weekend hours
- Coordinate with on-call physicians for urgent patient needs
- Ensure sterile exam environments and supply inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and overnight shifts
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/Electronic Medical Records preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume shifts
