Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun) with weekday flexibility
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per clinical protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care plans
- Monitor patient vitals, assess conditions, and document accurately in EHR systems
- Mentor junior staff and participate in weekend-specific quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety regulations
- Respond to emergencies with precision and maintain composure under pressure
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience with weekend shift preference
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or higher required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and telehealth technologies
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities for patient/family communication
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts during high-demand periods
- Certification in specialty area (e.g., ER, ICU) preferred
