Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive 2026 technology strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging fields including quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced AI
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders
- Present technology roadmaps and innovation forecasts to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage technology portfolio valuation and risk assessment for future-focused initiatives
- Mentor cross-disciplinary teams in agile innovation methodologies and future-proofing principles
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or venture innovation
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: quantum computing, neurotech, decentralized systems, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological scenarios
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFTE, Foresight Practitioner)
