Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal trends to develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks
- Design and lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present trend briefings to executive leadership and board members with data-driven risk assessments
- Establish partnerships with academic research labs and venture capital firms for early-stage technology scouting
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough innovations with our legal team
- Create scenario-planning models for geopolitical and climate-related business disruptions
- Mentor junior innovation leads in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategy consulting, corporate innovation, or futures research
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercialized innovations
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systemic risk modeling
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech and venture capital ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (TED talks, industry journals)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
