Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight framework, identifying disruptive trends in AI, biotech, and climate tech
- Lead scenario planning workshops for executive stakeholders, translating complex futures into strategic priorities
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions and validate market readiness for 2026 launch
- Establish innovation metrics and KPIs to track progress toward 2026 milestones
- Author white papers and thought leadership content positioning Horizon as a future-industry authority
- Manage a $5M innovation fund to accelerate high-potential 2026-viable projects
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of anticipatory thinking across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy at Fortune 500 firms
- Proven track record of successfully predicting and commercializing emerging technologies (3+ case studies)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published author in futurism or technology innovation (peer-reviewed journals or industry publications)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across global markets and cultural contexts
