Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 3-year innovation roadmap aligned with organizational vision and market disruptors
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with strategic potential
- Facilitate design-thinking workshops to ideate breakthrough products and services
- Analyze competitive landscapes and patent landscapes to identify white-space opportunities
- Build business cases for high-impact initiatives including ROI modeling and risk assessment
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Mentor junior innovation specialists and cultivate an experimental culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, product development, or consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 market-disrupting products/services
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology (MBA preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or similar designation
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets and managing cross-functional teams
- Published thought leadership in innovation or future trends
