Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Lead R&D initiatives for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Collaborate with C-suite to align innovation with business objectives
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets across 3-5 strategic projects
- Build and mentor a 15-person cross-disciplinary innovation team
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present quarterly innovation progress to stakeholders and investors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record launching disruptive products in tech or biotech
- Expertise in future trend analysis (Foresight certification preferred)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and innovation frameworks (Design Sprint, Lean Startup)
- Experience managing R&D budgets >$3M
- Strong stakeholder management with C-suite/board experience
