Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs checks and prepare patients for examinations
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Maintain clean, sterile exam rooms and medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Flexible availability for Saturdays and Sundays (7am-7pm)
- North Carolina state medical assistant license
