Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, and mobility
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection procedures
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans
- Maintain clean and sterile environments in patient rooms and treatment areas
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight/weekend hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months healthcare experience or relevant clinical training
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency for medical record documentation
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating schedule
- Valid Tennessee driver's license if required for facility transport
