Responsibilities
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum processors using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Design error correction frameworks achieving >99.99% fidelity for commercial applications
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, material scientists, and software engineers
- Partner with NASA and CERN on quantum-resistant cryptography implementations
- Secure $10M+ R&D grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with 8+ years experience)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic systems and dilution refrigerator maintenance
- Deep knowledge of quantum machine learning algorithms
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD quantum projects
