Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure research grants and partnerships with national labs and academia
- Translate theoretical concepts into scalable commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
