Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubits
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure government grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and characterization
