Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence and gate fidelity
- Author peer-reviewed research publications and secure patents for quantum innovations
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams in quantum principles
- Secure federal and private funding for advanced quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in classical HPC architectures and parallel computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and characterization
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
