Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum hardware systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum machine learning projects
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit performance
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding for experimental initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Proven track record of securing research grants
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
