We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to architect and oversee the critical technology infrastructure that will power the world's greatest athletic event. Responsibilities
- Architecture & Engineering: Lead the design and implementation of robust IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and data pipelines supporting the Games' operations.
- Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technology projects, ensuring deliverables meet strict timelines and quality standards for the 2026 event.
- Data Strategy: Spearhead the collection, processing, and analysis of real-time data to enhance athlete performance tracking and fan engagement experiences.
- Cybersecurity: Develop and enforce rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive athlete data and secure the Olympic network against threats.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party technology partners to integrate diverse systems into a unified, interoperable ecosystem.
- Talent Development: Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration within the tech department.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT management, software engineering, or systems architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark/BigQuery).
- Event Knowledge: Demonstrated experience managing technology for large-scale events, conferences, or sports organizations is a strong plus.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Agile Mindset: Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
