Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures including vital signs and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor clinical procedures
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Process lab specimens and manage electronic health records
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with pharmacy and other healthcare providers for continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to adapt to weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation
