Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and preliminary health assessments
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with weekend nursing and administrative teams
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday shifts only)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to multitask in high-volume weekend clinics
- Valid California driver's license for mobile health units
