Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital signs, injections, and wound care
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clean exam rooms
- Handle lab specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests
- Deliver exceptional customer service to diverse patient populations
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or emergency setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish a plus
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environment
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
