Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care during overnight shifts (Saturday/Sunday) including medication administration and vital monitoring
- Maintain precise electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and nursing staff during critical patient interventions
- Safely operate medical equipment including EKG machines, IV pumps, and monitoring systems
- Implement emergency protocols including CPR and first aid during urgent situations
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon shift handover and throughout the night
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols in all patient care areas
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania CNA certification (or equivalent healthcare credential)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience with night shift documentation
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal status
- Exceptional communication skills for patient/family interactions during overnight hours
- Ability to remain alert and make critical decisions during low-staffing periods
- Proficient in EPIC electronic health records system
- Physical stamina for 12-hour shifts including lifting up to 50 lbs
