Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care activities across weekend shifts ensuring seamless clinical operations
- Manage weekend staffing schedules and resolve urgent staffing needs proactively
- Oversee medication administration protocols and documentation compliance
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and follow established protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate critical updates to weekend leadership
- Train and mentor new weekend staff on department-specific procedures
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists to address patient concerns
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN or LPN license with active status
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care or specialty setting
- Proven ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Availability to work alternating weekends and holidays
- Valid CPR certification
