Job Overview
As the Weekend Shift Lead, you will be the face of our operations on Saturdays and Sundays. You will be responsible for team supervision, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between our weekend workforce and our broader logistics strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of warehouse associates to achieve daily productivity and safety goals.
- Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Resolve operational issues and customer service inquiries in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Perform quality control checks on outgoing shipments and maintain equipment logs.
- Train new hires on standard operating procedures and safety equipment usage.
- Coordinate with the day-shift management team to ensure seamless handover of operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience is required.
- Valid Forklift Certification and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
