Our Austin-based innovation hub offers unparalleled resources for prototyping and scaling breakthrough technologies. You'll report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer and collaborate with Nobel laureates, industry disruptors, and venture partners to commercialize tomorrow's solutions today.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight strategy across quantum computing, biotech convergence, and climate-positive systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in building AI-driven predictive models for market disruption scenarios
- Architect sustainable tech frameworks with 10+ year lifecycle viability
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business roadmaps for C-suite stakeholders
- Oversee commercialization of 3-5 emerging technologies annually
- Drive patent strategy for proprietary innovations in quantum encryption and neural interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurism with 5+ years applied research experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and predictive modeling platforms
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($5M+ value)
- Certification in Sustainable Technology Design (STDP) or equivalent
- Portfolio of at least 2 commercialized innovations post-2020
