Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Secure $2M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerance protocols
- Strong Python/C++ skills with HPC optimization experience
- Security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain
