Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision: Define and execute the comprehensive 2026 technology roadmap, aligning technical innovations with long-term business goals.
- R&D Leadership: Identify, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Blockchain, IoT) to determine their viability for the enterprise.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate complex technical strategies to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring buy-in across all levels.
- Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance team of futurists, engineers, and product managers.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor global tech trends and competitor moves to ensure Apex Horizon remains years ahead of the curve.
- Portfolio Management: Prioritize and manage the R&D budget, ensuring maximum ROI on innovation initiatives.
- Partnerships: Forge strategic alliances with tech startups, universities, and research institutions to fuel innovation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a strategic or director-level role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of developing and executing long-term technology roadmaps (5+ years out).
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead diverse teams and drive cultural change towards innovation.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Certifications: PMP, TOGAF, or similar strategic planning certifications are a plus.
