As a Weekend Shift Coordinator, you'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination. Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care plans and transitions across weekend shifts
- Supplement nursing staff during peak weekend hours in clinical settings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring and wound care
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists for urgent cases
- Lead weekend team huddles and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN or LPN license (or equivalent healthcare certification)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or outpatient setting
- Strong weekend availability with flexibility to cover rotating shifts
- Proficiency in Epic EMR or similar healthcare documentation systems
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- BLS/CPR certification and ACLS preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
