Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including generative AI, biotech convergence, and decentralized systems
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify disruptive opportunities in 2026+ tech landscapes
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping and validating breakthrough technologies
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and Fortune 500 companies
- Present technology strategies to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven insights
- Secure and manage $10M+ innovation budgets for experimental technology initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on future tech trends and their societal impacts
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record in launching at least two breakthrough technologies with >$50M revenue impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, or sustainable tech systems
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience securing government grants and venture capital for experimental projects
- Published research or patents in emerging technology fields
- Global network of technology innovators and industry influencers
