Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to prioritize R&D initiatives based on strategic impact and feasibility
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Establish KPIs to measure innovation pipeline success and technology adoption rates
- Manage relationships with academic institutions, research consortia, and venture capital partners
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends and their business implications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Expert knowledge of emerging technologies across at least two domains (AI, quantum, blockchain, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities with data-driven decision-making
- Strong presentation skills with experience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Certification in innovation management or technology strategy (e.g., CTO School, Innovation Excellence)
- Portfolio of successfully launched products or technologies with measurable market impact
