Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit performance and coherence times
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and quantum-focused venture capital
- Mentor PhD researchers and build next-generation quantum talent pipeline
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Experience leading $1M+ research projects with deliverable milestones
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and variational quantum algorithms
