Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and ion-trap platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum coherence beyond 2026 benchmarks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum processor architectures and gate sets
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier journals/conferences
- Present research findings at industry summits and academic symposiums
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments and parallelization
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
