We're seeking a visionary Quantum UX Researcher to decode next-generation interface paradigms and bridge the gap between quantum computing capabilities and human cognition. This role demands a blend of cognitive science expertise, quantum mechanics fundamentals, and radical empathy to design experiences that transcend current digital limitations.
As part of our Future Interfaces Lab, you'll collaborate with quantum physicists, neuroscientists, and AI ethicists to create intuitive interfaces for quantum-aided decision-making, emotion-responsive environments, and spatial computing ecosystems. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and can translate complex quantum phenomena into human-centered solutions that feel magical yet intuitive.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct quantum-aware user research studies using VR/AR/XR environments and neural interface prototypes
- Develop predictive UX models for quantum-entangled information systems using Python and quantum simulation frameworks
- Create cognitive frameworks for multi-dimensional data visualization in quantum computing contexts
- Lead cross-disciplinary workshops to synthesize quantum physics principles with human-centered design
- Document quantum interaction patterns in our emerging Quantum Experience Design Language (QXDL)
- Validate prototype interfaces using quantum-aided eye-tracking and biometric resonance analysis
- Contribute to ethical guidelines for quantum-augmented decision-making interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum computing fundamentals (Qubits, superposition, entanglement concepts)
- Portfolio demonstrating work with emerging interfaces (VR/AR/XR, brain-computer interfaces, spatial computing)
- Proficiency in quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published research in human-quantum interaction or quantum cognition
- Expertise in neuro-UX methods (EEG/EMG integration, neural pattern analysis)
- Experience with quantum-resistant security protocols in UX design
