Apex Digital Studio is looking for a visionary Senior 2D Motion Designer to join our creative team in San Francisco. In this role, you will push the boundaries of 2D animation to create engaging digital experiences that tell compelling stories for our diverse client base.
We are seeking a professional who combines technical prowess with artistic flair to craft fluid animations that drive user engagement and elevate brand identity.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute high-quality 2D motion graphics for web, mobile, and social media campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to translate static designs into dynamic user interfaces.
- Produce storyboard sketches and animatics to visualize concepts before final production.
- Optimize animations for performance and cross-platform compatibility.
- Maintain and update the studio's asset library and style guides.
- Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D motion design or animation.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JS animation libraries (GSAP, Anime.js) is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
