Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals assessment during weekend clinic hours
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and documentation
- Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling for weekend operations
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile medical equipment
- Administer injections and basic laboratory procedures under supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with on-call physicians for urgent weekend patient concerns
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Flexibility to cover occasional holiday shifts as needed
