Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency department settings during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Document patient assessments and care plans using Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in weekend staff development and quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend schedules (Fri-Sun)
- BSN preferred or commitment to obtain within 1 year
