Responsibilities
- Lead Operations: Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficiency during peak weekend hours.
- Team Management: Mentor and coordinate a team of warehouse associates, ensuring everyone understands their roles and safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment and ensure all OSHA standards are met.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage stock discrepancies to prevent shortages.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections of products and packaging to ensure they meet Apex's high-quality standards.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address operational bottlenecks or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse supervision or logistics management is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions.
- Tools: Basic proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
