Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology) for commercial viability and integration potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to the board of directors
- Drive adoption of future-ready methodologies across organizational functions
- Author thought leadership publications on technology convergence trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or hyper-growth startups
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon scanning)
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Published research or patents in disruptive technology domains
- Experience scaling teams in ambiguous technological environments
