Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts through 2026+
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for product innovation and market positioning
- Collaborate with R&D, product, and engineering teams to translate foresight into actionable roadmaps
- Present compelling future-state visions to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Establish innovation metrics and KPIs to track strategic initiatives' commercial impact
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Author thought leadership content positioning Horizon Labs as a future-ready pioneer
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, Futures Studies, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight roles
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and futures research methodologies
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful innovation strategy implementation
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for complex future concepts
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing, etc.)
- Experience with strategic frameworks like Delphi method, STEEP analysis, or causal layered analysis
- Ability to synthesize multidisciplinary data into actionable strategic insights
