You'll lead cross-disciplinary teams to develop roadmaps for emerging technologies, conduct horizon scanning for disruptive innovations, and shape our R&D pipeline. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, synthesizes complex data into compelling narratives, and has a proven track record of turning futuristic concepts into market-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neurotech applications
- Partner with C-suite executives to align future-tech investments with long-term business objectives
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for breakthrough innovations in sustainable tech
- Champion human-centric design principles in next-generation AI and automation systems
- Present future scenarios to investors, board members, and key stakeholders
- Mentor innovation teams on adaptive leadership and exponential thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2026+ technology trends (peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers)
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (min. 3 successful exits)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI, or climate tech
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi method)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Certification in Innovation Management (e.g., PDMA or CMI preferred)
