Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 strategic foresight initiatives using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) with disruptive potential
- Architect adaptive business models for post-2025 market ecosystems
- Produce quarterly 'Future State Briefs' for executive decision-making
- Establish partnerships with academic labs and innovation accelerators
- Monitor geopolitical, environmental, and socioeconomic signals affecting long-term strategy
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or advanced technology planning
- Proven track record of developing multi-year future roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Mapping, Kumu)
