Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic laboratory tests with precision and accuracy during overnight shifts
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records in real-time
- Operate advanced medical equipment including hematology analyzers and chemistry systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and safety protocols at all times
- Train and mentor new technicians on night shift procedures
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field required
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years clinical laboratory experience
- Proven ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong knowledge of CLIA and OSHA regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure emergency situations
- Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
