Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using IBM Quantum and Rigetti systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure government and private sector research grants
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams on quantum-machine learning hybrids
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
