Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage critical backend systems and APIs during weekend hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Lead on-call incident response, troubleshooting complex production issues with minimal supervision.
- Execute automated and manual deployments, including hotfixes and security patches.
- Perform database maintenance, optimization, and backups during low-traffic windows.
- Collaborate with the DevOps and QA teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Document technical procedures, runbooks, and post-mortem analysis for the on-call team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development (Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java required).
- Strong proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proven track record of working effectively in weekend support or on-call rotation environments.
- Deep understanding of Linux system administration, shell scripting, and SQL database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
