Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Assist with daily living activities and emotional support for patients
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies
Qualifications
- Current CNA or Medical Assistant certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends and overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Empathetic communication style with diverse patient populations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
