Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient intake and scheduling for weekend medical appointments
- Assist providers with clinical documentation and EMR maintenance
- Manage patient inquiries via phone and secure messaging systems
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Administer basic patient assessments and vital measurements
- Process insurance verifications and billing documentation
- Collaborate with on-call physicians to resolve patient concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred
- 1+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic/Meditech experience a plus)
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6am-6pm shifts)
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
