Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor weekend operations team of 15+ staff across warehouse, transportation, and customer service divisions
- Optimize weekend logistics workflows to maintain 99.8% on-time delivery rate
- Implement inventory control systems and conduct cycle counts during off-peak hours
- Coordinate with NYC-based vendors and partners for weekend-specific deliveries
- Resolve operational escalations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Generate weekend performance reports and present to executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and NYC Department of Transportation regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in logistics/supply chain management with weekend shift experience
- Proven leadership in unionized environments preferred
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (Manhattan, Oracle, or SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- OSHA 30 certification and Hazmat handling credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- Valid NYC commercial driver's license (Class A) required
