Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global megatrends (AI, biotech, climate tech) to inform 5-10 year strategic vision
- Develop scenario-based roadmaps for product innovation and market disruption
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prototype future-facing solutions
- Partner with R&D to integrate emerging technologies into commercial pipelines
- Author thought leadership reports and present foresight frameworks to investors and stakeholders
- Establish metrics for tracking innovation maturity and future-readiness
- Mentor teams in strategic foresight methodologies and adaptive planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or equivalent
- 7+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or trend analysis
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented future-oriented projects
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systems thinking
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIP preferred)
- Experience scaling innovation in enterprise or startup environments
