Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and societal trends
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology) for strategic adoption
- Lead cross-functional workshops to forecast industry disruptions and competitive threats
- Design scenario-planning models for geopolitical and technological black swan events
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global innovation forums
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify breakthrough startups for strategic partnerships
- Establish KPIs for measuring technological readiness and innovation velocity
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, R&D, or emerging technology consulting
- Published portfolio of trend analysis or scenario-planning methodologies
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (horizon scanning, Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on technology transformation
- Strong network with academic research institutions and innovation labs
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
