Job Overview
As a Weekend IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues during our critical weekend operations. You will ensure system uptime, resolve hardware and software issues, and support our clients efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal uptime during weekends.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve technical tickets within SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets.
- Install, configure, and update software and peripherals for staff and clients.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system for future reference.
- Collaborate with the support team to escalate complex issues and share knowledge.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Basic computer literacy with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and macOS.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a full-time basis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous IT support experience is a plus but not mandatory for immediate start candidates.
