- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, biotech, quantum computing) and societal shifts to identify disruptive opportunities
- Design scenario-planning models for C-suite stakeholders on 5-10 year horizons
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints translating future insights into product roadmaps
- Establish KPIs for future-readiness and monitor early-warning signals of market evolution
- Pioneer Horizon's annual 'Future State' thought leadership publication and conference series
- Mentor junior strategists in futures research methodologies and critical thinking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech trend analysis
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic plans
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systems thinking frameworks
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills for complex concepts
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (portfolio required)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., APF, CFTE) preferred
